The LV is not just about bottle service and VIP rooms. If your tastes run more towards NASCAR and Indie bands, family fun or hip bars, Downtown Vegas may just be what you're looking for.
Fremont Street is where you can go for a low cost, fun night on the town. The Fremont Street Experience is an outdoor playground for all ages. A giant ceiling runs the length of the street, playing an amazing light show of videos for your entertainment as bands and street performers do their thing.
In addition to being wallet friendly, Fremont Street is the home of one of the coolest experiences in Las Vegas. Mermaids is the place you go for a Vegas specialty, the Fried Twinkie! Covered in powdered sugar and fried to perfection, they're a must have when you're Downtown.
Nearby are the hipster bars of Vegas. Beauty Bar and The Griffin are where the terminally hip hang out. This is the epicenter of the Neon Reverb Music Festival (March 12-15) which brings the best Indie bands to The LV from around the world. Right around the corner is The Downtown Cocktail Room where you can get dressed up and have the Ultra Lounge experience away from the hustle and bustle of The Strip.
Speaking of cool, this bar has a downtown Vegas vibe! Frankie’s Tiki Room. Frankie’s is the
world’s only 24 hour Tiki Room. All of the delightful Tiki Sculptures are hand carved and the house cocktails come in crazy custom made glasses. You can almost imagine Betty Page walking through the door and swinging to the retro surfer sounds.
Possibly the best part of Fremont Street is the massive neon signs saved from all of the great Vegas hotels of the past, restored and placed all over to give you a great peek at vintage Las Vegas. Giant cowboys and tasty Martinis all light up and take you back in time to when The Rat Pack and mugs named Bugsy roamed The Strip. Cool Daddio!
