Fabulous Frank
Entertainer Extraordinaire. Comedian. Chef. Fashionista. Painter. Saint. Frank Marino is a blast from the past with an eye on the future. Throughout 25 years of sassy, uncanny performances of Joan Rivers and other stars, Frank has performed over 20,000 shows, in 25 years, to millions of people. Watching Frank perform in the Divas Las Vegas show at the Imperial Palace is the icing on the cake of this historic anniversary.
When others speak about Frank, the word “fabulous” comes to mind not only as an entertainer, but as a humanitarian. When he took time from his busy schedule, he was packing to leave for his sold out appearance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Windsor, Canada. He was still gracious to answer some questions and chat with I Love Las Vegas.
Do you have any mentors?
My favorites are Diana Ross and Madonna.
What is your most memorable experience in show biz?
Being friends with the Rat Pack, but not realizing how important it was until I was older.
What is your focus for the next 25 years?
Making Divas Las Vegas even more fabulous than La Cage which was on stage for 25 years.
With all of your contributions to charity, which one is most important?
I donate a lot of my time and contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Do you have a favorite quote?
It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. I have one better: never rest on your laurels of what you did yesterday, but always work harder to be better tomorrow.
Frank, it doesn’t get better than you. |
