Kenny Chesney fans disappointed about his decision not to take Ke nny & Co. on the road this summer can cheer up. Kenny and the boys are rockin’ at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino July 2& 3, giving Independence Day new meaning.

It is rumored that Kenny burned down Vegas during his unbridled Keg in the Closet shows at The Joint in May. Chesney’s freewheeling set was the essence of Keg in the Closet – obscure older songs, rock, alternative and country covers during a 2 1/2 hour show.

The four time reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year said “We blew it up Friday night…with a marathon 4 hours and 15 minutes the following night. We figured we’d go as long as they stayed…the fans were loving it, so why stop playing?”

More of that is to follow for July 2 & 3 leading into a red, hot July Fourth weekend. Chesney says, “I love making music, especially music for people, too much! I needed to get my foot off the gas, but that didn’t mean I wanted to cut off the thing that makes me happiest.”
