Angels Advocate
If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with Mariah Carey, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is offering fans a chance. She performs Feb. 27 during her eight-week 19-city Angels Advocate tour.
With worldwide sales of more than 175 million albums, Carey remains the most successful female recording artist in history. The intimate performances come on the heels of the release of her latest album, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” featuring her hit single “Obsessed.”
Her album “The Emancipation of Mimi” generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), two No. 1 singles and countless more honors during its 18-month chart stay. Three years later, “E=MC²” debuted at No. 1 with first week sales of 463,000 copies, which now stands as the highest first week sales total of Carey’s career. The album’s success brought total sales of Carey’s albums, singles and videos to more than 175 million worldwide, distancing her even further from the pack as the top-selling female recording artist in history.
