2008 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400
NASCAR Nextel Cup
After 10 years in Sin City, the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series will return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 2nd. The 1.5 mile track in the desert recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in 2007 and is now being called the “NASCAR Disneyland”.
A main fixture of the renovation, the Neon Garage, provides fans with direct access to race teams and drivers from both ground-level and elevated positions. The Neon Garage features live entertainment acts, a unique concession area, and the Winner’s Circle.
This year, the world-famous Blue Man Group will perform on the center stage in the Neon Garage throughout the weekend. In addition, John Stuart Productions will provide some of the world’s best tribute artists from Elvis Presley to Garth Brooks to Tom Jones.
Die hard race fans with Neon Garage passes can celebrate with their favorite drivers in the Winner’s Circle. As the winning driver pulls through a gauntlet of race fans and emerges into a stadium-like setting, he will be greeted to victory by thousands of cheering fans.
