Finally temperatures have fallen here in Las Vegas and it is time to celebrate Oktoberfest.
This is a festival that dates back to the 1800’s and has been celebrated with a sixteen day festival which originally celebrated the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Therese of Bavaria. The original celebration takes place in Munich and over six million people attend
every year.
Here in Las Vegas there is not a better place or more authentic venue than the Hofbrauhaus House. Some of the entertainment includes a variety of German bands playing, table stomping, cross-dressing and of course beer chugging! You can really get caught up in the festivities.
As for food, there’s plenty to be found here! Actually huge amounts with traditional favorites such as bratwurst, jumbo pretzels with Obatzer cheese and of course sauerkraut, will be on the menu.
My advice would be to break out the Lederhosen and the Dirndl and enjoy Oktoberfest Vegas style!
