Roseanne Barr..."Domestic Goddess"
Las Vegas has a new diva in town! Delivering a distinct edginess to the Strip, the "Domestic Goddess" brings her rock 'n' roll antics to Las Vegas comedy. The Entertainment Capital of the World again raises the caliber of featured talent being showcased by introducing one of the most acclaimed comedians in the world.
Roseanne Barr, known for her outspoken, opinionated, and sometimes brutally honest humor can be seen 5 nights a week in the infamous Congo Room at the Sahara. Rated #9 on Comedy Central's list of 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time, Roseanne brings a more mature view to her recent act; mixed with plenty of crowd interaction. However, audience members can expect the no-holds-barred comic to assert her straightforward view on worldly topics and life.
"I never play it safe," states Barr. "I would be bored if I did that. I like edge. I'm pretty rock 'n' roll." Best known for her long running self-titled show, Roseanne, the Emmy award-winning actress and writer is excited to return to her roots. "Stand-up comedy is what I love. It's what I do," Barr said."I like the freedom of it. I like interacting with the audience and talking to them about the world."
When not performing her stand-up routine, Barr lends her talent to "Extra" as a correspondent for the 2008 Democratic Election. Actively involved in politics, and a firm supporter of Hilary Clinton, Barr enjoys talking to people on the street about their political opinions. "I find people to be a lot more intelligent and informed on the topic than I thought they would," states Barr. "It's cool...it's really cool."
When the "Domestic Goddess" finds time away from her many projects, she enjoys spending it with family and going for long walks. Taking advantage of living in Las Vegas, Barr can be found shopping at the Fashion Show Mall or dining at one of her favorite restaurants such as: Winchell's Pub & Grill (across from Westgate Plaza), Gallagher's Steakhouse or the Four Season's Hotel.
When asked what advice she would give tourists looking to make the best out of their Las Vegas experience, Barr quickly responded with three words, "Buffets, Buffets, Buffets!"
