Cher Comeback Queen!
Do you believe in life after Cher? Neither does Vegas! After a lifetime of extraordinary success, the legendary icon will return to the stage at Caesars Palace for a three-year run beginning May 6th.
The show will feature countless chart-topping hits from the artist's unparalleled career, complimented by impressive choreography from Doriana Sanchez and breathtaking costumes designed by the world-renowned fashion icon, Bob Mackie.
"I started in Vegas at Caesars, so I've come full circle," Cher said. "I'm back and I plan to give my fans the best experience yet. I think everybody knows I only do things in a big way."
For over 40 years, Cher has captivated audiences with her bold voice, dark looks and glamorous, yet sometimes revealing, costumes. Releasing 25 albums and selling over 200 million records worldwide since her career debut in 1964, the "Queen of Disco" encapsulates the word icon.
Cher is also the only female artist to have solo Top 10 hits in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Cher's long running success appeals to a variety of generations as her songs continue to adapt to the ever changing sound in music.
"In my business, you're only as good as what you do today," Cher says. "But I think people like me. People feel friendly toward me, maybe because I've been around most of their lives. And their parents' lives." Cher at the Colosseum, is a relief to many fans who were hoping they could turn back time when Cher bid goodbye in 2005 after ending her Farewell Tour. The quintessential queen of comeback once again proves she's not ready for retirement.
"The fan anticipation leading up to this announcement has been unprecedented,"
said John Meglen, co-CEO and President of AEG Live/Concerts West. "Cher's talent is legendary around the globe and there is simply no one like her."
Conquering every endeavor from American pop singer, actress, songwriter, film director, record producer and author, Cher is the proud recipient of an Academy Award, a Grammy Award and three golden Globe Awards.
Cher at the Colosseum is anticipated to be a visually unbelievable spectacle designed exclusively for the 4,300-seat venue. The 90-minute show will be presented at 7:30 p.m., four nights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
