Cool Down Cocktails

As the summer heat rises, beat the heat with these “cool down” cocktails

Heavenly Mortinis
Now mixing up a new series of cocktail specialties, Morton’s The Steakhouse offers four of these refreshing cocktails. Try the Pomegranate Mortini, which features Absolut, Monin Pomegranate, and Funkin Passion Fruit Puree, or the Heavenly Palm Beacher, a pineapple and mint-infused Skyy Vodka drink. The Heavenly Cosmopolitan is comprised of Ketel One Citron, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and cranberry juice, and if you’re in the mood for a “South of the Border” experience, try the Heavenly Margarita with Cuervo Gold, Cointreau and fresh lime.

These original recipe cocktails are made with top-shelf spirits and topped with delicious “frappe-style” foam, which gives the appearance of a heavenly cloud floating atop the cocktail. For more information about Morton’s, call 702-893-0703 or visit online at mortons.com.

Strawberry Hardway
In honor of the luckiest day of the century (July 7, 2007), the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group has created a new signature cocktail in reference to a card combination of 7-7-7 in Blackjack (the hardest way to get 21 and referred to as“The Hardway”).

The summer cocktail is a blend of Chinaco Silver, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, fresh strawberries, balsamic crème, and a dash of luck. Served on the rocks, the invigorating refreshment is sure to quench the thirst of players in search of their fortune.  Available until August 2007, the new cocktail served at each of the five Wolfgang Puck restaurants (Spago, Chinois, Trattoria del Lupo, Postrio, and the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill). King Richard’s Pride
BOA Steakhouse in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace offers a drink that caters to the lifestyles of the rich and famous with its $1,000 extravagant liquid creation. King Richard’s Pride consists of 2 oz. Hennessy Richard, ¾ oz. Dom Perignon Rose 1996, and ½ oz Chambord Liqueur Royale De France blended together with the juice of ½ a lime, one muddled orange slice and a splash of cranberry juice. This lavish concoction is served in a Baccarat Equinoxe cocktail glass and is a perfect choice for the posh, refined, and sophisticated.
