From solo shows to Broadway, movies and television, this brilliant comic has received numerous awards including six Emmy Awards for her ground-breaking TV specials, two Tony Awards for her hit Broadway shows “Appearing Nitely” and “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe,” a Grammy Award for her comedy album, “This is a Recording,” as well as two Peabody Awards.
From stand-up comedy in nightclubs in the 1960s in Detroit and later New York City to the Las Vegas Strip, Lily continues to hone her comedic skills with characters of her evolving show. As Bobbie Jeanine, Lily’s lounge organ player, says “I’ve played every town and burg in this country.”
