This singer-songwriter and actress is best known for her rich, powerful voice reminiscent of Patsy Cline. In 1996 at the age of 13, LeAnn’s debut single “Blue” took the country by surprise as the song reached Number 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. It was certified “multi-platinum” in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America.

In 1997 Rimes made the jump to pop material which set the tone for a string of albums released over the next decade. Not only is LeAnn the youngest person to win a Grammy, she is the first country singer to win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Rimes has won two Grammys, three ACMs, one CMA, twelve Billboard Music Awards, and one American Music award.
