Who says that a little boy from Mesquite, Texas cannot end up in the Entertainment Capital of the world with a theater named after him and be one of the hottest tickets around? Not Terry Fator!
The year 2005 was a break through year for Fator. He started to really combine the acts of singing with ventriloquism. One of his first performances was Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” which the audiences loved. After working on combing the two, six months later a new act was together.
However, by this time Fator was into his thirties and had almost given up on achieving the level of success that he had first striven for. His catapult to fame and fortune was realized with a show titled “America’s Got Talent.” His initial thoughts were “Well, maybe this will bring me some measure of recognition and help with bookings.”
Fate had other plans for Fator. He won! Not only won, but Simon Cowell stated that “you are one of the top two entertainers on the planet.” As Fator has said, “not many people get that type of compliment.” The prize was $1 million dollars which he used to buy his wife a dream house and an expensive wedding ring.
