Weather & What to Wear
When walking up and down the Las Vegas Strip, sunscreen is essential. An SPF of at least 15 should be worn even on a cooler or cloudy day. Temperatures are still warm during September with temperatures ranging from the 90s during the day and the 70s at night.

Parking
Valet parking is available at most of the hotels on the strip. Parking lots for your car are also located at each hotel at no cost. Some of the hotels even feature a parking garage with various levels for added convenience.

Transportation

There are a number of cab companies that are on call and waiting to be of service. Most hotels have convenient taxi stands at the front entrance. The monorail and tram systems are convenient additions to the Las Vegas Strip. The MGM Grand to the Sahara Hotel monorail runs Monday-Thursday, 7 AM to 2 AM and Friday to Sunday from 7 AM to 3 AM. Rates for the monorail are $5 for one ride, $12 for an unlimited one-day pass, $28 for 3-day pass.

The Deuce double-decker vehicle makes stops at virtually every casino on Las Vegas Blvd. and provides service to the Las Vegas Convention Center during major conventions. Cost is $2 for a one-way ticket and $5 for a 24-hour all-access pass.

911 is the general number for emergencies. The Las Vegas police number for non-emergencies is 702-795-3111.

Currency Exchange
Most of the hotels/casinos offer foreign money exchange services.

Buckle up! In Nevada, it’s the law to wear your seatbelt when traveling in any vehicle. Remember, it is illegal to have an open alcohol container in the car.
